"I will meet you back at the Falkner house!" Croaks the skinridden crow, who then flies off toward town.
You, Vincent and Ol'Joe burst through the door to the barn. The door slams behind you leaving you all in darkness.
Vincent is trying to get his lighter going.
As your eyes adjust you see a cloudless night sky with the barest sliver of a moon above you and thorny brambles around you.
With his lighter going Vincent turns toward the woman by the door. She smiles slyly as she slowly breaks apart into twigs and animal bones and tumbles to the ground, There is no sign of the door.
Howls break the eerie silence of the hedge.

I stop and sit on the ground and start taking all the drugs i have on me as quickly as i can.

Ol' Joe cackles at you as you gobble down a handful of pills, you can see the gaps in his blackened teeth with disturbing clarity.
Some of the pills are kicking in faster than the others. Suddenly everything seems squishy, the thorny brambles begin to rustle.
Ol' Joe stops laughing and as messed up as you are you notice the howls have stopped.
Joe isnt smiling any more, he looks nervous and a little spooked.

He backs away with his hands up.

Ol' Joe's face ripples like an image on water, the brambles are now thrashing like thorny whips.
Part of the hedge peels back to reveal a strange figure.
It must be over eight feet tall with porcelain skin, but it is hard to tell what sex it is, the air shimmers and buzzes around it and looking directly at it makes your head hurt.

Ol'Joe drops to his knees before it face down.
"I have brought you a replacement for my wife my lord," grovels Ol Joe.
The being lays a hand on Ol' Joe's head,
"Shhhhhh she has been returned to your home as promised," it says before breaking Joe's neck.
Laughing it throws Joe's body into the hungry brambles as the howls start again, this time from somewhere behind you.

You are standing on a path surrounded by thick thorny hedges, the tall being that killed Ol'Joe walked out of the hedge across from you
and the howls are coming from behind you.

The tall figure stops and starts as it walks toward you.
"Ooo, a new toy, your mad eyes and thoughts are so lovely, I think I shall call you... Pet."
The thorns rustle as you frantically look for an exit, there are two paths behind you, you could swear weren't there a second ago.

The world swirls slightly to the left, faces from your past form out of the hedge and you can hear your mother calling like when you were young, her voice is getting louder.
Amidst it all you see the strange being gliding towards you, and out of the corner of your eye the two exits behind you.

The creature laughs behind you as you sprint full tilt down the nearest path.
"Come back Pet, you will do yourself a mischief."
As you run the walls of the hedge thin and you can hear the sounds of traffic up ahead.
