Maddie: As you chat with Paula you notice she's just as scared as she was before even though her uncle is fine now. A few well placed investigative questions opens her up a little. 'I didn't want to say it before for fear of lookin a loon but I coulda sworn I saw a ghost glide across the road and float right through the cab. It passed through Uncle Rod then out onto the street again. That's when my uncle froze up like he did and caused the crash.'
She keeps scanning the woods for any sign of the apparition.

Maddie looks over at Drune and smiles, shaking her head to indicate no immediate threat.

"Hey, Paula. No need to worry about people thinking your crazy, we all see weird things from time to time right? You're perfectly safe, my friends are all really awesome guys who'll make sure we get you and your uncle to Caryville, no sweat." Putting her arm around the shaken girl, Paula offers comfort to take the edge off. "You might be in shock or something so I'm going to ask some questions so we can work out what's what, OK? Do you think you could run me through exactly what you saw? I promise I won't laugh."

[ooc: Trying to determine the specific details of the event & appearance/behavior of the ghost. Do I need to roll charm to get her to trust me?]

Jake: you get to ask one question from the investigate a mystery questions.

Maddie: (you don't need to roll, she feels the need to tell someone about it)

Paula sighed. 'It happened very quickly but I do remember how it looked, I doubt I'll ever forget. It didn't have a head. Least not one I saw. It's arms were long an hanging down it's side. It's legs were long and barely touched the ground when it glided. It was see-through, well sorta. It kinda looked purple an it just passed straight through solid objects.'

On the dashboard of the semi trailer's cab has a clipboard full of shipping details. Apparently Rod's load is bound for the Caryville mall.

You also find on and around the driver's seat a sticky ectoplasm that glows a faint purple.

(OOC: If I want to know something that would be visually obvious how would I go about it?) (Would like to know if the semi trailer has room for all 6 people)

"How goes the wheels Neo?" Jake chuckles at his own joke as he heads over to Mr anderson.
Jake shares his findings with Mr Anderson and tries to discreetly get the attention of Maddie and Drune with a couple of high pitched girly sounding coughs.

(Ooc: you just ask. Like you have done. Yes 6 people could fit in the semi. It'd be cramped though.)

Rod stands up shakily and addressed Drune, 'thank you for.. Uh the first aid. Could you call an ambulance for me? I'm still feeling a bit weird. I think I should get to a hospital and have them figure out what happened to me. It's all a bit strange.'

Maddie gives Paula a gentle hug and suggests she should get back in the semi to keep warm. "Just shout out if you need anything, OK? I'm going to catch up with the others, I'll be just over there." Maddie indicates towards the stricken truck, Anderson busy under the bonnet and Jake coughing.

Maddie checks to see how things are with Drune and Rod before heading back to the truck.

Drune rests a hand on Rod's shoulder, "sure sir, I am sure one has already been called but I will ask my friends over there to give one a call if not."

Scratching a bit of bark from behind his ear Drune addresses the others, "the crash was definitely caused by outsider influence, I wonder if this part of a larger picture or just a symptom of the Ending."

Maddie shrugs, "Paula says she saw a purple, headless ghost-type with long arms. Sounds really weird, like out of Ghostbusters. All things considered it could have been worse. Anyone have a working mobile? Mine's dead. We should call up an ambulance for the old guy and maybe roadside service for the MiB-mobile here."

(OOC: can I assume that jake has a flash mobile to allow use of his net friends perk?)

Jake smiles and nods and attempts to make the appropriate calls.
Jake decides to msg a friend also to see if there has been any other reports on headless purple multi armed entities.

Maddie'll head back over to let Rod and Paula know help is on the way and keep an eye on them just in case.

Hands behind his back, Drune strolls over to Mr Anderson.
'Is there anything in particular you need to get your automobile in working order?'

Mr Anderson says if there was something i could use as a hammer and something we could use as a fan belt we could get moving again at least to get us to a mechanic

[Mr Nay]

Turning on his heel Drune walks around to the other side of the van.
"I will be right back," he shouts over his shoulder.
Once out of sight Drune is walking down the meandering paths of the green ways to the last service station they stopped at with a mechanic attached.

(ooc: I am using my Angel Wings move.)

Maddie returns to the semi and introduces herself to Rod.
"You're looking better, sir. I'm Maddison, I'm glad you're alright, you gave us a pretty big scare when you went off the road. We've called an ambulance and as you can see our car is kinda trashed so we're going to be sticking around until we can sort ourselves out. If you don't mind I'll hang with you and Paula until they arrive. I've been traveling with my friends for a while and it's good to meet some new people. I'm pretty interested in local histories, urban legends, y'know? Do you know any good stories about Caryville?" Maddie looks from Rod to Paula to include both of them in her question.

Oh, and Maddie actually asks if Rod needs anything to make himself more comfortable before grilling him for information.

(Sorry for the late reply. I blame uni making me do assignments. )

Jake: roll for your net friends.
Drune: The mechanic has all the items you need.
Maddie: Rod regales you with the usual urban legends. Man with hook for hand, ghosts haunting an abandoned manor house etc. The ambulance arrives and the paramedics have a look at Rod, concluding that he should stay overnight in the hospital for observation. Rod thanks you all and exchanges phone numbers just in case you need to get in touch. The ambulance drives off toward Caryville.

Assuming that Mr Anderson can fix the truck, what are you all going to do?

Maddie waves of Paula and Rod, happy that they seem okay but still concerned for the pair. Feeling the effects of the road trip and late hour, she votes for finding a motel to have a shower and get some sleep.

(ooc: I vote Drune for MVP for getting first-aid for the MiB-mobile. Mundane application of supernatural powers ftw! )

Five mintes later, Drune walks back into view and hands Mr Anderson the parts he needs.
Stepping back he folds his arms crinkling the sleeves of his impossibly crisp green suit.
"How long until you can complete your repairs of the automobile?"

(ooc: If I had Drune's ability I think I would become incredibly lazy lol.)

fitting the belt shouldnt take long, but there is at least a few hours of panel work to get her truck shaped again.
Then we will need to go to town and find a new bonnet

The MIB mobile roars back to life. Caryville is but two hours away and the sun is setting. Where will you go first.
